S.D. Engineer & Son was established in 1908, involving 3 Generations of Professional Freight Forwarders and licensed Indian Custom House Agents (CHA # 11/0009).

We are entrusted with the logistical movement of cargo for our various Clients with special reference to Freight Forwarding, documentation and Custom clearance and also for Embassies such as the Royal Danish Embassy.

We maintain an excellent liaison with the Customs, Port Trust, Shipping Companies, Airlines, Railways, Trade Bodies etc so as to ensure quick and efficient forwarding and monitoring of Export / Import delivery.

Mr. S.P. Engineer is an Advisor on the Board of Advisors of the Managing Committee of the Custom Agent's Association(BCHA). He is an Associate member of the Federation of Custom Agent's Association in India and an Associate Member of the World Body of Freight Forwarders 'FIATA'.

At the age of 35 years, Mr. S. P. Engineer was elected the youngest President of the Bombay Custom House Agent Association for 3 consecutive years. He is now an Ex-Officio Member on the Association’s Board after being the Official Representative on the Board of Trustees of the Mumbai Port Trust (MbPT) and on the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) amongst other positions being held.

Both (late) Mr. Phiroze S. Engineer and Mr. Sorab P. Engineer have been recently given an Award by the Association of Custom House Agents in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the furtherance of the forwarding fraternity.
